June Odds and Ends
Ok back to the summer. Here are the rest of our June pictures and happenings! We went to the Parade of Homes- always a favorite of ours. Found one or two new dream homes to salivate over. It was nice to see homes in the area finally advancing in their designs and styles. It's been a bit boring the last few years. I think we took mainly video so we only snapped a few pictures.
This picture is my favorite house which is in a style called "organic modern". It was very artistic (perfect for us) but maybe not so child-friendly. So maybe when we are "older".
But we LOVED it and all it's reclaimed barnwood- my new favorite material discovered down at the St. George Parade of homes in February!
This is kind of funny. Well sad actually. But this gorgeous view below was at a house we went through in Alpine. It is amazing right?! Well we were talking about how it would be scary to live there cause if a wildfire started- your home is one of the first to go. We were joking about using the water from the pool to help put out a fire. Guess what? There was a huge wildfire that burned almost all of this gorgeous view just a few weeks later!!
That house circled in red is the highest up on the mountain and was protected by the fire fighters, but the fire burned all the way around it!! SO crazy!
Vising Grandpa R for Father's Day. The kids loved exploring his backyard.
And their lion cat.
Another trip to the aquarium. It was nice having a family pass this year (that I won!!). The kids and I went a couple times throughout the year. This time was with Daddy:
The Artist FINALLY got his new camera he ordered back in February! Couldn't believe it took 4 months to arrive! We are thoroughly enjoying it and posed for a few pictures the night he got it so he could test it out as soon as he unwrapped it.
And more dress-up:
